Here’s the truth about what stage of life I am at…

This summer was rough, I put together this blog while being displaced out of our home due to a conflict in the Middle East.

Motherhood is stressful, but no amount of daily stress can compare to realizing that you could loose your life, or that your kids and or spouse could be harmed.

Today, I want to speak about the anxiety which most if not all Moms are sure to experience at some point of Mamahood.

You are not alone Mama, you will get through the day!

By incorporating fitness as a regular part of your busy routine, I am sure that you will discover the benefits of exercise, which can help boost your energy to accomplish your busy schedule.

This blog is for you Mama, no matter the stage you may be!

Please know that you have a friend on the other side of this screen, and my heart is rooting for you and your family!

As a certified NASM personal trainer, and fitness enthusiast who has placed in Classic Physique competitions, as a Mom of three;

fitness can be a state of being, but fitness like Newton’s First Law of Motion must stay in motion for your body to remain fit!

*Reason 101 to keep moving Mama*

No matter how maddening life’s experiences may seem. Keep it together Mama, and lean into the diamond of truth in your heart which will center you, truth which will guide you, truth that can calm you down. This Truth, I believe is Jesus. Jesus promises in the Holy Bible to be “near to the broken hearted,” (Psalms 34:18)

Dear Mama, once again you are not alone no matter what you are going through!

Do you know what it’s like to think you and your family are all going to possibly…

I cant even say it.

Living through an experience that is life alteringly dangerous,

Your mind goes blank as you face the trauma and survival instincts kick in. You focus on your breath to override every emotion that is screaming at you to run.

Instead You don’t run, you “shelter in place,” and focus on keeping your babies safe;

you simply do what is in right in front of you, what is the best possible thing to do for your children to live well, survive, and by the Grace of Jesus…thrive!

And you understand that instead of excusing severe negligence and or insanity you would rather die for your children, then let a single hair on their head be harmed.

Whether you are dealing with a traumatic experience and or numerous negative emotions; the type of emotions which only drain your energy, I understand dear Reader, I understand more than you may ever know!

Assigning crippling anxiety to Moms, as a normal state of mind however is not okay! If you need to seek help, please do so immediately.

This is intended to be an inspirational, fitness blog for Moms. And today I’d like to talk about one of the primary benefits of exercise, which is reducing anxiety.

Having myself experiencing a crippling traumatic experience this year, involving conflict in the Middle East, which is a story for another time. I wanted to address anxiety in Motherhood. Instead of dealing with such negative emotions alone, please consider how exercise can help you to redirect this negative energy and exchange such emotions with positive energy!

What has worked for me this year to incorporate exercise into my day; is to take care of my priorities first, and secondly schedule in time to “get fit.”

Because fitness is not just a physical state of being, the way I see it, fitness encompasses your mental and emotional state, too! With this in mind, exercise time has been a must, these past eight months. Exercise, even if it means crying on the stair climber until you can’t cry or climb anymore. (I’ve been there! Exercise works wonders for stress:).

Exercise for your mental, physical, and emotional state of being, Just do it for you and for your family!

 I am sure that you may have a schedule, don’t you Mommy? You may have a running schedule in a planner format, digitally, or posted to the refridgerator, at some point you may just have a schedule in your mind, because your are truly Amazing Mom!

You know exactly what time it is, whether your little one needs to eat, sleep, have tummy time, enjoy a bath, and or play.  Or maybe your child, or children are getting into sports, like my three are. A sports schedule is a whole other ball game…you got this Mama!

Please think of all the many things you do to keep your little one safe, happy and healthy. Now with this same wonderful mindset, think of the best time during your day, where you can be intentional and set time to prioritize healthier habits!

As a faith driven, fitness minded, family loving Mama, my heart hopes to encourage you dear Reader, to take healthier steps today!

And as always,

Take Care!

~Ray
